Smart Ass Smokey

 

          Picture everyone on the island, the Trouties and the rest of Smokey’s crew just staring at you.  Tommy, who was generally unfazed by technical stuff was in awe too.  “You really can do that?”  Tommy asked, impressed.

          “No!”  Smokey yowled.  “I can’t find anything!”

          All of the residents just stared at Smokey harder.  Alex looked heartbroken!  “Can’t you at least try?”  he asked.

          Smokey was overcome with the guilt.  “But what if I can’t find it?” 

          “Well, at least you tried to do something!”  he meowed.

          Smokey knew he was right about that.  “I know but-“

          Finally the Mayor just lost his cool.  “You iz gonna try it!”  he yowled.  “You iz hafto or we iz going to leave you here.”

          Smokey looked around at the beautiful beach, the water and all of the nice houses!  “Being here wouldn’t be that bad!”  she meowed, in that smart-assy Smoey way.

          Barney and Casey gave her the paw.  “You shouldn’t be a smart-ass Smoker,” Casey meowed.
