Sneaky Fun

          He looked really confused by this.  “Why are you askin’ that?”

          The Mayor couldn’t believe that question.  “Youz just can’t paw onto no baseball field and sayz ‘I wanna playz ball!’”

          Leo looked even more amazed.  “Why not?”

          The Mayor’s whiskers started twitching as fast as a helicopter propeller!  He didn’t even know how to respond to this so Smokey threw in a, “How are you gonna do it?”

          Now, that kind of burst Leo’s enthusiasm.  He looked at Charlie for some kind of suggestion.  You see Charlie was what you call Leo’s agent but Charlie looked confused too.  Leo just kind of brushed Smokey off.  “I’ll find a way to do it.”

          “I think you’re nuts,” Casey meowed.  “Why would you want to- considering how well you can surf?”

          That started another of those famous kitty debates that ended up growing into hundreds of kitties, who had come around just to see Leo surf.  To be purr-fectly honest Daisy and Smokey actually got tired of it and slipped away from the crowd.  “Let’s do something fun,” Smokey meowed.
