Hey pals I have a problem and maybe you could give me some advice.
Today, I saw a really nice, fat cat by the woods. He was white with tiger spots and HUGE. This is a big boy and he seemed very affectionate. There's an 80% chance that he's a stray. I found myself falling for him he reminded me of Barney is his prime. Now, my question is how long would you wait before trying to rescue him with the off chance that he belongs to somebody? Any good advice here- I'd love to help this cat if he'd let me.
On a side note- Trouties- YOU DUDEZ!!!! No wonder I couldn't find the card- I looked in the caseyb email that card was PAWSOME!!! Thank you so much!!!!
Can you leave some food somewhere and see how he responds? Ask the neighbors. If you get hold of him, any vet will check for a chip and not charge (but ask first) Is he neutered (though I have adopted three cats that were definitely strays and already neutered/spayed) And we constantly have the neighbor's intact boy - but we know whose cat he is (that may not be his opinion.)

I would not wait as you never know when something can happen but first see how hungry he is. My ferals have someone else who feeds them so they may be gone for a week or more and then they pop up. One fellow who I Trapped, Neutered and then returned was around and now gone. I wish him well and hope he has a home but... When you get him you can then check for a chip. If no chip then advertise in local places and make sure you send a notice to local vets. Make a flyer and put them at local pet food stores. Do you live by a lot of houses or no. Maybe try and put notices in mailboxes with a number or email if you are uncomfortable giving that out. You can get a gmail just for this so you are safe from crap. Hope that helps.
