The White Burd

All eyes went to Hank.  “What do you mean you’ve seen this dude?”  Big Eddie asked.

“You didn’t,” Paws meowed, “there’s no way.  We would’ve seen him.  How in the meow could you miss a white burd?”

Hank’s eyes got all buggy.  He looked majorly indignant.  “I’m telling ya, I saw this little dude on the way here.  He was down the creek some,” he added nodding towards the left.  “He’s- hey where are you cats going?”

There were times when Hank’s brain seemed broken.  It never occurred to the dude that this was going to cause the kitties to paw off to see if he was telling the truth.  “Hey!!”  he bellowed.  “Wait for me.”

Fuzzy heard the rumbling and wasn’t surprised.  Naturally, Hank had to stir everyone up but the issue, of now, was the Snowy Owl.  Where is the meow could it be?  “Do you see it?”  asked Paws.

“There’s nothing down here but a bunch of old logs,” Paws answered.  “You know Sammie always said there was a treasure down here.”

A ‘paws’ for Sammie, the poor little fella meeee-ow we miss this lad.  Anyway soon Big Eddie was yowling, “There he is!  There he is!!!”

Fuzzy looked up and saw the burd all the way up a huge oak tree and he was just staring at them with beady eyes.  But when he heard the booming of Hank from behind,  he swooped towards them…
