Meow-Less and Missing

 

      The kitties stared at Sammie.  What in the meow was up with this?  Sammie seemed as shocked as the rest of them.  He tried to meow again but still nothing came out. 

          “What’s the matter with you?”  asked Paws.  “Why can’t you meow?”

          “Wait a meow-minute!”  Hank yowled.  “Where did Mike and Tigger go?”

          Mike and Tigger were gone!  Completely gone?  How?  What?  When?

          Toni went into hysterics and Fuzzy’s whiskers started twitching.  Tippy’s tail went into swish mode.  Paws was bewildered and Hank was just horrified.  “How can they be gone?”

          “Maybe a ghost got them,” Tippy meowed looking sick.  Tippy had about enough being trapped in Halloween land.  If it was up to him he’d go home NOW.

          “Ohhhh nooooo!”  Toni wailed.  “Not a ghost!”

          Poor Sammie was so frustrated that he was literally banging floorboards but he was cut off by a familiar voice meowing from outside, “Hey mates!  Get out here.  Come out and see what we found!”
