The Surprise Coming Up the Road

Hank didn’t answer.  Why?  Bepaws he fell over on his face and was snoring so loud that it sounded like a train, besides that his snoring made it seem like the earth was shaking.  Thank meowness that only kitties could feel it but I digress.

At this point, all of the kitties were watching a snoring Hank amazed that how well he literally blended in with the decorations.  Seriously, this was no meowing joke.  Hank the hippo was actually sprawled out on a front yard in between two Christmas hippos snoring and from the way it looked, Fuzzy didn’t think that he’d wake up for awhile.

Luckily, to humans that passed Hank just looked like another Christmas decoration.  Go meowing figure on that huh?

          Pawing right along…

Alex asked the obvious, “Is he gonna stay there all night?”

Fuzzy looked at Alex with whiskers twitching.  Alex was a nice cat but meee-ow it was scary how he looked like her real dad, the late great Patches.  “I have no meowing idea,” she answered.  “I’m not worrying about it.  There’s too much stuff to meowing do for the Christmas paw-ty.”

Christmas paw-ty?  That made all the kitties ears pop up, including Eddie’s and Alex’s.  Obviously, these boys never had the purry pleasure of one of the kitty’s paw-ties but they were smart enough to know that a paw-ty meant food.  And meeee-WOW did these two love to eat.

“I didn’t know we were having a paw-ty,” Eddie meowed innocently.

“We always have a paw-ty,” Toni replied.  “It’s tradition,” she looked over at her mom, Blackie.  “Are you going to be around for the paw-ty, Mom?”

In case you just pawed into this kitty world, Blackie’s the mom of Toni, Tippy, Paws and Fuzzy.  She was never featured on Purry Cute in the past bepaws well, Blackie was kind of one of those private types that didn’t want to be bothered.  However, kitties- like people evolve and Blackie was ready for some adventure and, naturally, a purry Christmas paw-ty.

“Meeee-ow, you’re meowing right I am,” Blackie answered with the tail swishing.  She looked over at Fuzzy.  “Who’s coming to the paw-ty?”

“All of the kitties in the neighborhood,” she answered.  “Besides that I sent out some invitations to some other animals we’ve run into.”

“Meeee-ow, is that how Hank ended up coming back?”  Paws asked.  “How did you track him down?”

“That was pure luck,” she answered.  “I was surprised to see him too.”

All of a sudden, there was a large amount of clomping from the road and the gang couldn’t believe it-coming up the road were reindeer and a couple of polar bears.

          Meeee-what?
