Casey,
Daisy and Joey were in complete disbelief about this. You can tell that Darlene’s act was getting a
little wishy-washy if Joey was doing that ‘you gotta be meowing’ thing with his
whiskers. Joey seemed like he was the
type of dude that wanted to give everybody the benefit of the doubt.
Darlene
sensed the skepticism and she was, to be meowy honest shocked. “Why are you cats looking at me like dat
for?”
Joey
meowed it first. “Your story doesn’t
make sense.”
Mee-uhoh!
Hackles were rising. “You got a lot of
nerve you two-timer,” Darlene meowed.
Meee-ow,
what was up with this? Joey went out
with Darlene??? Who would’ve ever
thought it? Maybe a better question to
meow is why didn’t he meow about it before?
Meee-ow, it doesn’t matter.
Pawing
right along…
Joey
had that embarrassed kitty look. How can
you tell that a cat’s embarrassed? It
was all in the whiskers really and the tail didn’t seem to have the same kind
of swishing ability. But you had to give
him credit, he was trying to save face. “I’m
no two-timer,” he meowed. “You’re
distracting from a crazy story!”
Darlene
looked started and the whiskers twitched.
“I’m meowing the truth,” she answered.
