Sliding Willie

Like I said yesterday, Willie was a slider.  What does that mean?  Belly-time that’s what!

How fast does a walrus go on his belly?  Well, that’s hard to describe.  Let me put it to you this way, it was so fast that Sammie and Paws had to hold onto Willie’s long whiskers.  Besides that they were screaming their guts out.

“He’s GOING TOO FAST!!!”  yowled Sammie.

Paws couldn’t meow anything.  What in the meow could he paws-ibly yowl?  His whiskers were feeling weird though like they were going to fall off.  Meee-ow he wished that Willie would stop soon!

“I don’t think he can stop!!!”  Sammie yowled, panicked.

Sammie had a point and Paws wondered how much Willie could hear.  In the end, I guess it really didn’t matter bepaws of how fast he was sliding.  After about two minutes though, Willie stopped, he literally stopped and meeee-wow!  We’re meowing screeching halt here pals and that sent Sammie and Paws flying through the air, tumbling into a snowbank.

When they popped their heads out, Sammie was going crazy.  “What are you CRAZY?  You coulda killed us!  You were going too fast!”
Willie wasn’t paying attention to him.  He was actually looking to the west and he looked sick.  That drove Sammie nuts!  “Why aren’t you paying attention?”  he yowled.

Paws looked to the west and caught sight of what Willie was staring at.  “Holy meows!” he yowled.

“What’s the matter with you?”  asked Sammie, looking at Paws with disgust.  “This doofus coulda killed us!”

Paws was steamed now.  “Would you shut-up and just look to the west!”

          “But-”

Paws gave Sammie the paw across his head.  “Look.”

Finally, Sammie did and he sucked in his breath…
