But
these cats weren’t listening! It was one
of those things that you knew they were listening but acted like they didn’t. Meow-meow I know! That didn’t make any
sense. Again, it was Casey he was
feeling somewhat on the grumpy side and who knew for sure how to really calm
him down.
Baby was starting to look purr-ty
annoyed by now. “What’s the matter with
you?” she asked Casey. “Your fur get sunburned?”
He looked at Baby with contempt. “I dunno why you’re sticking up for them,” he
meowed, waving his paw at the Trouties. “They
could’ve gotten you in big trouble.”
For some reason that got Baby all
huffy and puffy. “I can take care of
myself,” she meowed at him.
“You’re all wind,” he replied turning
back to the Trouties. “Now, with you
kitties, what in the meow are you going to do about Daisy?”
None of them seemed that
interested. As a matter of fact they
seemed kind of on the purry side. “We
wuz thinkin’ big pawty,” Boomer meowed. “Then we mightz have to go backs home
for awhile.”
Smokey was now, officially, mad, “What
do you mean by that?”
