Well,
the public didn’t believe it. Actually
the public didn’t know a thing about it.
The cats’ battle with the poachers was portrayed as a major
earthquake/avalanche that killed 200 poachers (estimated), injured 150 (again
estimated) and blew the lid off of some of the dirtiest, sleaziest officials
all over the world. In other words, a
lot of people were humiliated in the media and even arrested. Accusations kept coming out in every
direction. China, with their well-known
history of using these animals for medicine was especially humiliated.
What did that mean?
Well, thanks to the huge battle, more
people actually started to care about what was going on over there with the
tiger situation. Stories came out that
somehow a lot of them escaped from those farms and made it into the deep
forests. Animals went off the deep end
it seemed and a lot of goofs said, “Oh it’s all because of that James Patterson
book The Zoo.” And
that just annoyed the meows out of Smokey.
Do you blame her?
In the meantime it seemed like it didn’t
matter to the other animals. After a few
meows and growls, Smokey even chilled out.
Why? That’s easy, Charlie led
them to a place (which was near where the boat was tied up) to pawty!
YAY !!!! bring on de pizza pies & donuts for everee one ...
