Okay pals, I owe some of you an apology- I didn't mean to get anyone mad about politics but let me explain this better.
I am not a Trump fan, I did not vote for Joe Biden or Trump, I wrote in Ralph Nader in honor of my late dad. Again, I've been a democrat my whole life but I hate what they've become anymore. Both sides literally make me sick- why am I telling you this? Balance because at heart I'm a reporter and this is what I've noticed- lately.
Certain Internet people on the right seem to be insinuating that cats are associated with one part of the political spectrum while others on the left are blaming cats for every problem in the book in terms of nature (birds, etc). People, I've seen college kids toss cats out in mall parking lots, I've seen both sides throw them out on highways or abuse them so badly you can't touch them. In the meantime, when cats are tossed out of a car, they're either going to get killed or go wild. When they go wild- they kill birds- so I'm saying that people who are blaming cats for everything better take a look in the mirror and consider that cats are a wonderful pet and that how you treat them will guarantee their future. In other words, people need to take responsibility for actions before they blame cats for all problems in nature.
Now, if I offended anybody with the original cat commentary I definitely apology. I don't like seeing cats the scapegoat for everything and I'll never stop yelling about it and let me reiterate this- I don't care what your politics are anybody's welcome here. I get along with everyone and just for the record- a refresher on cats mentioned in the past on here:
Smokey: Tossed out in the summer of 2011, when I found her she was so dehyrdrated I thought she'd die.
Barney: Rescued from a shelter parking lot. The woman was stupid enough to tell me he was a stray when it was obvious enough she was his pet.
Casey: Tossed out in 2007- so scared and dehydrated it took me 2 weeks to gain his trust.
Ace: Another abandoned cat, who was sadly tossed out because he 'grew-up.'
What's the point? The constant beratement of how bad cats are in various articles will guarantee this list will grow. Cats should be praised for how purry they are not how they 'ruin' everything. Is this blog going to turn political? No but I will vent when something ticks me off with regards to all cats.
As I said before - we are definitely in agreement about this ! (And I apologize for misreading some of your post.)
