“You have a big mouth,” Casey meowed back, getting huffy. “You’re about as whiney as she is!”
Now that made Smokey crack! Why did she crack? Oh who knows? It could’ve been a combination of Casey being flat-out annoying, disgust that they were trapped in the house, mad that they couldn’t leave for their trip until next week, etc. It didn’t matter. The fur started flying and for anyone that remembers Smokey you remember that she could put up a fight. It didn’t matter if she only had three legs. That little kitty could kick some kitty butt anytime. Just sit back, close your eyes and picture cartoon cats fighting and that would be Smokey and Casey.
Relax though! It was nothing bad. Just a couple of kitties letting off some steam and to top it all off some fur flew. Anyway, when they were through they were huffing and puffing. Both looked at each other with the whiskers twitching. The anger seemed like it had disappeared and the purrs started. “Feel better?” Smokey asked.
Casey gave a laugh/purr. “There’s nothing like scratching out some steam.”
“You ready to start pawty planning?” Smokey asked.
“I my little kitty pal am always ready for a good pawty!!!”
